Here is a photographer curated collection of photos from Ken and Melody’s stylish Santa Maria Church micro wedding. Ken and Melody had a sweet and intimate church wedding, complete with classic cars, bold florals, and adorable flower girls and ring bearers!

Before Ken and Melody’s Santa Maria Church Micro Wedding

Melody arrived to church in style in a gorgeous vintage white Rolls Royce.  The guest list may have been small for this micro wedding, but that diminish any of their wedding day grandeur.

Ken and Melody’s Church Micro Wedding Ceremony Photos

Ken and Melody opted for Covid-era friendly micro wedding just outside of the Santa Maria church. The weather was great for it, and the sunlight added to the ambiance of the day.

From the couple:

It was a COVID style micro wedding inspired by love. We had no specific theme or inspiration other than just wanting to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. Ken and I had to pivot and change plans so our theme was surrender, acceptance and gratitude.

Florist & Ceremony:

We chose a florist who was local and focused on ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly designs. Ken and I focused on whimsical and natural colors and personalized it with a family heirloom vintage Porsche and including our families in the ceremony. We had a livestream so all our friends and family could watch from the comfort of their homes. Some of our favorite parts were the dance party, the speeches and the fine wines.

Style:

We had no specific plans for a look, just wanted a dress that could fit on a petite frame (which is no easy feat) so we had a custom dress made by the amazing and talented Rene Atelier bridal in San Diego and a tuxedo made and tailored by Suit Supply.

Our Story:

We met on a blind date! The bride spontaneously jumped on a flight within a two hour notice to meet her prince at a mutual friend’s dinner party. It was love at first sight, instant chemistry and a deep soul connection. From that day forward we knew it would lead to happily ever after. I was super impressed by his confidence and the way he fearlessly put the moves on.

We didn’t have a “first look” so the first time the groom saw the bride was walking down the aisle and it was perfect. That was definitely a moment we’ll never, ever forget. It goes by in a flash, so remember to pause and take it all in.

Our Advice:

Don’t worry, rather have total faith, trust and confidence that everything will work out and really believe that with all your heart and it will. We were scrutinized for being “too relaxed” and not having enough of a plan or agenda yet magically everything fell into place and unfolded in the divine magic of the universe.”
