From the couple:
We purposely did not choose wedding colors. We wanted the wedding to be neutral, light, airy and dreamy. Therefore we wanted a lot of white flowers, and greenery. We did add burgundy bridesmaid dresses at the last min! I wanted our wedding to be a light, airy, dreamy party with our closet friends and family. We wanted it to be a celebration with everyone and not just for us. We also didn’t want it to be formal with a multiple course meal but instead serve food people want to eat when they’re drinking.
The Place:
We also choose Sonoma because of the calm energy there. The weather was beautiful and the scenery everywhere you looked was amazing! All white flowers with greenery. With wood stumps throughout. We just wanted everything to be light and simple. We had live music, and had the whole wedding on a family property! It was so fun that we also had flower crowns for all of the guests!
It is difficult to pick a favorite moment! The dancing at the reception was awesome! Socializing during cocktail hour and just the emotion and excitement was amazing! The toasts were all phenomenal.
Style:
I choose a lace fitted dress. I did not want to go with a ball grown style but wanted something that fit the venue and Sonoma but was also still beautiful and elegant! So, I knew I would wear a fur wrap at the reception with the weather and loved the contrast of the fur against the lace. Also, I had a lot of borrowed jewelry to incorporate so many people! I wanted to do simple curls to ensure I still looked like myself on my wedding day. I also added a flower crown after the ceremony because when do you get a chance to wear a flower crown?!
We met when we were 16 and 17 at a party! We have been in love ever since! Benjamin designed my ring to fit exactly what I wanted ! He proposed to me with roses in our home! It was very private and intimate!
