From the couple:

As is the tradition with Jewish weddings, we got married outdoors and in the same p lace we met over 10 years ago, Santa Cruz County. We were surrounded by redwood trees and bundles of blue, lilac, and white flowers. And, most importantly, we enjoyed the extraordinary company of a small group of our closest friends and family.

Wedding Décor:

My sister crafted beautiful hand made signs for seating charts, and my mom, sister, brothers and I made the party favors. We had lavender on the chairs for the ceremony and the chuppah was beautifully deco rated with our favorite flowers. Flower petals were sprinkled on the steps of the gazebo for the bedeken, where I saw Guy for the first time in a week and where he drew my veil over my face for the ceremony, and where the most important men in my life shared blessings with me. There were gorgeous flower arrangements on the tables in the barn for the reception.

Florals:

There were a range of different flowers with different shades of blue, purple and white. I held a bouquet with these flowers, they were in the chuppah (the ceremony canopy) and in the table arrangements.

The best parts of our wedding were: seeing each other for the first time in a week at the bedeken, walking down the aisle with our parents, our moments together after the ceremony under the redwood trees, and the speeches.

Style:

My dress was a half sleeve, bright white dress with delicate lace and pearls and a long, a-line white skirt. My veil was custom made from a part of my dress skirt, an d I had pearls in my hair to match the ones on the back of my dress. The necklace I wore was a gift from Guy’s parents.

Guy wore a dark blue suit, white shirt, brown shoes and a blue tie. The watch he wore was a gift from his father.

Our story:

Seeing each other at the bedeken for the first time in a week.

We met a decade ago at UC Santa Cruz, where we were both undergrads. Guy proposed after 7 amazing years on a morning hike at the Stanford Dish.

Every bit of the planning was worth it (although extremely frustrating at times) an d that’s coming from a couple who had to plan their wedding three times due to the pandemic!
