From the couple:
We would describe our wedding aesthetic as classic, rustic, romantic, and modern. Our colors were blush, navy and burgundy which you can see in our Ramekins Wedding Photography.
Our Story:
We met in 2008 studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. We did long distance for 1.5 years, then both moved to Boston for 5 years. In 2015 we moved out west to SF. Jordan proposed in 2016 at a vineyard in Sonoma which is one of Tara’s favorite places of all time. The ring was a family stone from Jordan’s grandfather, and he had the band custom made.
Wedding Style:
For our wedding we decided on a classic, romantic, and vineyard-esque feel to capture the essence of wine country. Tara’s dress was simple yet elegant and made of crepe silk, strapless, with a gold accented belt. Shoes were blush and rhinestone encrusted with blue bottoms. Bridesmaids wore blush strapless dresses and groomsmen wore navy suits.
Wedding Florals:
For the florals we wanted lots of greenery, no particular preference with flowers but incorporated seasonal blooms in blush and white, along with a pop of burgundy. Ramekins has a beautiful backdrop covered in vines and didn’t need much added decoration. We had two large bouquets on wooden pillars at the start of the aisle.
Wedding Highlights & Advice:
Our processional songs were “Faithfully” by Journey; “All of Me” by John Legend; “Falling in love at a coffee shop” by Landon Pigg and for the recessional it was, “Don’t stop believin” by Journey. For the reception we had simple centerpieces that had greenery and blush/white and burgundy flowers. The table names were all places/cities Jordan and I have traveled to together or where our guests were traveling from (they came from all over the country!). Our First dance song was “Hold you in my arms” by Ray LaMontagne.
