From the couple:
We wanted a romantic, whimsical, woodsy wedding with tall redwood trees. We incorporated a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and Filipino/Mexican money dance. I wanted to use rustic & whimsical flowers which you can see in our beautiful Laughing Canyon Wedding Photography. Lots of colors, & textures. As if you went to pick them in a garden yourself.
We are both foodies and didn’t want the standard steak, chicken, & fish wedding food. So we opted to have all of our favorite foods for dinner. We had Fried chicken, sushi, noodles, & tacos! Loved that we had an Asian fusion caterer and a separate taco caterer to make sure it hit the spot.
I chose a lace fit & flare gown w/ a little bit of sparkle. I had a cathedral lace veil and my hair had an old Hollywood glam feel. He chose a dark navy tux and accessorized with his navy mechanical watch those I got for him as a present years ago.
How We Met:
We met in freshman year of high school at a mutual friend’s New Year’s Eve party. However, we attended different high school’s, but remained close friend’s. We eventually started dating our Senior year of High School. He proposed to me at Fairwood Park in Sunnyvale. When we were younger, we would go to the movies to hangout all the time. Afterwards, we would walk through the park. He thought these were dates and I thought we were just hanging out as friend’s. He decided to propose here after a decade because this is where he started to fall for me.
The Big Day:
The most special moment of the day was seeing him while I was walking down the aisle. I felt a rush of emotion and couldn’t hold in my tears. When I finally got to him I felt calm and it just felt right.
