From the couple:
During our ceremony we incorporated the veil, cord, coins, and candle which is part of the Filipino tradition. We didn’t have any specific flowers in mind. All we knew is that we wanted white flowers. In order to work within our budget, we added lots of greenery as you can see in these Nella Terra Cellars Wedding Photos. It all worked out and looked beautiful!
The Wedding:
We had samba dancers! They performed and then gathered everyone on the dance floor to teach them some moves into a conga line. I really enjoyed our first look. There was so much anticipation and seeing each other finally put me at ease.
Style:
I didn’t have a particular dress in mind when I first started looking. So, I went in with open mind. I fell in love with the train of my dress and champagne slip. I knew I wanted my hair with a simple hair vine to add a touch of elegance.
For the groom, we ended up with a nice blue suit with a copper bow tie and pocket square to tie in with our colors.
Our Story:
We met in high school and we became good friends. After we graduated we went to different colleges, one in the north bay the other in the south bay. It wasn’t until spring break during our first year did we decided to finally hang out and catch up. One day of hanging out turned into hanging every day during break. By the last day, we realized how we felt and decided we wanted to be together.
Proposal:
Nine years later on my birthday, we hiked Vernal Falls in Yosemite very early in the morning. We were the only ones there. I faced away thinking he was taking a photo of me and turned back around to see him on his knee. Of course I said yes!
