Getting Ready & First Look before their Millwick Wedding
Before heading to their wedding at Millwick, Carly & Kirby did a First Look in a secluded area at Hotel Figueroa in Los Angeles, where they were staying. The couple chose to share their vows privately afterwards because it was important to Carly & Kirby to start their wedding day intimately, where they could be present and express their feelings without an audience. Afterwards, during couples photos, Carly said “as far as I’m concerned we’re married now, so the rest is a formality.”
Millwick Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Carly and Kirby’s Millwick wedding was an opportunity to share love and joy within their community, and to express their gratitude for the support that’s been shown to them throughout their relationship. After having a second First Look with their beloved dog, Samson, these two brides were ready to say”I Do”.
As for the rest of the day, the brides to be wanted their wedding at Millwick to be “for everyone”, and the venue was a perfect choice for their fun and vibrant event. With vintage video games, a tattoo corner, and a cereal bar, this reception was anything but average. Eye catching florals and colorful table settings, created a warm and cheerful atmosphere for their guests and provided beautiful accent to the mix of botanicals and hip industrial space at Millwick.
Kirby and Carly have the kind of love I think we all hope for. Grounded in a genuine friendship and mutual respect for one another, and unlimited in its depth, their relationship seems to have grown stronger with each passing year.
Surrounded by family and friends, the couple moved easily from group to group, both individually and together, happy to be celebrating with the people who mattered most to them. Much like at their welcome party at Lucky Strike LA the night before, it was clear that the newlyweds wanted to enjoy being with their people, and they maintained a very carefree and laid back demeanor throughout their wedding weekend.
