The Berkeley Botanical Garden’s took my breath away! Such a gorgeous and versatile venue for a wedding and portrait taking. Between the tall, dense redwood tree forest and the bright, sunny gardens, I honestly couldn’t recommend a better location in the East Bay to satisfy your wedding portrait desires.
Style:
Hannah looked breathtaking in her simple, white gown. The bodice fabric was draped into a modest V-neck with off-the-shoulder cuffs with beaded detail. She wore her hair half down and half up, with a beach curl, her veil pinned in the back of her head, trailing down passed her skirts’ hem. To cinch the waist, she wore a gorgeous diamond incrusted belt. The bridesmaids wore grey/periwinkle baby doll dresses with rose gold shoes.
Peter wore a dapper three piece suit with a turquoise vest, a grey jacket and a plaid tie. His boutonnière was soft pink roses, paired with tiny white flowers. That brings me to the beautiful flower arrangements.
Theme:
I’m a big fan of very springy, sunset inspired, feminine color schemes for weddings so in my taste, the soft coral, powder orange, periwinkle sprinkled with white boutiques and décor made me so happy! The ceremony site was unbelievably gorgeous which you can see in these Berkeley Botanical Garden Wedding Photos above.
Venue:
The tall redwood trees loomed overhead, creating delicate shadows onto the site and keeping us safe and comfy from the heat. The air smelled of the fresh forest floor, and the long, grassy patches that surrounded us glistened with dew. It was straight out of a dream. Not a dry eye witnessed the beautiful Hannah floating down the aisle like a forest fairy.
Ceremony:
The ceremony was effortlessly perfect in every way. After the ceremony ended, the couple and I went on a little hike to find the prime spots to have our couples portrait session. I was jumping out of my skin with excitement because there were just so many incredible locations to choose from. I was so happy with how the portraits came out. So whimsical and fairytale-like. I was so stoked!
Reception:
After that we made our way to the tail end of cocktail hour where were enjoyed the delicious food and drinks. As the night progressed, the more loose and energetic everyone became. It was contagiously fun and loving. I really enjoyed this event and am happy with the photos that came from it.
