September 7, 2013, was the happiest day of our lives, and we are so thankful that we could share it with our family and friends.

The day was filled with so much warmth, joy, excitement, and love.

The venue we chose for our ceremony and reception was Viansa Winery, an intimate and idyllic haven located on a hilltop at the entrance to Sonoma Valley, CA. It was the first place we visited when searching for our wedding venue, and we fell in love with it at first sight.

I walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in D. As I nervously and slowly moved my steps, holding on to my brother’s arm (who was shaking as badly as I was), I saw everyone we loved standing up, congratulating our marriage.

To match the charming, old Italian architecture of Viansa, we chose variations of soft pinks, peaches, and greys as our wedding colors, which not only captured the romantic and dreamlike atmosphere of the wedding day, but also complemented Charlie’s and my relationship and promise as a married couple—always be gentle and loving, understanding and supportive, and faithful and respectful of each other.

Thanks to the tremendous support from our families and wedding party, our wedding was perfect—no words can begin to describe it.

And special thanks to our amazing photographer, Jonathon, for capturing our most precious moments!

I walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in D (played by the Amethyst Trio composed of the most talented harpist, violinist, and cellist). As I nervously and slowly moved my steps, holding on to my brother’s arm (who was shaking as badly as I was), I saw everyone we loved standing up, congratulating our marriage. Most importantly, I saw in distance my handsome groom, patiently waiting by our officiant, Reverend Chris Rankin-Williams, to start our lifelong journey together as husband and wife.  Charlie and I, with the help of our wonderful parents, planned out every stage and detail of our wedding, from choosing the design of our cake and flowers, to sampling the reception menu, to picking out heart-shaped confetti to decorate the guest tables. We must have complained and stressed out a lot; but in retrospect, all Charlie and I remember are fond memories like…Dad helping us build our wooden entrance “welcome” sign; Charlie dancing with his mother; getting a bridal facial with Nancy; my mother dressed in her beautiful Korean traditional hanbok; our best friends in dashing grey suits and lovely peach colored dresses; all the tear-jerking toasts and speeches; and some awesome moves on the dance floor.  Thank you so much to everyone for making the trip out to attend our wedding. And special thanks to our amazing photographer, Jonathon, for capturing our most precious moments!
