Jen & Chris’ Golden Summertime Napa Valley Wedding

Our colors were blush, gold and Ivory… topped with glitter.  We love light everything and could wear white every day.

The setting at Auberge is so special that we thought light would photograph really pretty.

As for my dress, I knew I wanted simple but something BAM at the same time.

Chris & I went suit shopping and stumbled across the pale blue…. He was my something blue. How handsome did he look?!

Our processional song was Adele, Make You Feel My Love (I cry every time I hear it).

Our recession song was Day Drinking by Little Big Town…. Did you see the trays of mimosas waiting for everyone?

We chose brunch as our time frame because that’s so us!  Bubbles on entrance and exit for our guests was also a must!

Find someone to be that accessory to your already fabulous life. We found each other and have never been happier. We are ourselves and just so in love.

Chris and I also have a true love for wine. At night, people make fun of us because we always have BedWine.

We asked all of our guests to dress the part so our pics would show the theme too!

Our first dance song was Ed Sheeran, Thinking out loud (I know, over played but the words are so meaningful).

Chris snuck on Pinterest and had my ring designed. His ring is big and beautiful (like him) – titanium outside, wood inside.

“Relax, enjoy life and have some wine. Never take one second for granted.”

Most couples reserve their date in our calendars 12+ months prior to their wedding day.

How we met: Chris and his friends were out for a wine down Wednesday where they met Jen’s friend Amy (who works in the wine industry). Amy called Jen the second she left and told her she had met Jen’s soul mate. Three months later, we had our first date and for the first time in Jen’s life… She was speechless. It was a random Tuesday (11-12-13) and that was all she wrote. By the second date, we knew it was the real deal. We got engaged in Napa at Newton Vineyards on August 15, 2014. Another ridiculously special day. Our wedding day: Our colors were blush, gold and Ivory… topped with glitter.  We love light everything and could wear white every day. We asked all of our guests to dress the part so our pics would show the theme too. Jen glitters everything, too! 🙂 The setting at Aubegre is so special that we thought light would photograph really pretty. My dress: I knew I wanted simple but something BAM at the same time. My sister picked up my dress and it was the last one I tried on. I didn’t even like it on the hangar. Nothing special… but then, I loved it and didn’t want to take it off. Chris & I went suit shopping and stumbled across the pale blue…. He was my something blue. How handsome did he look?! My sister and Marc both went with the light scheme. We met with Jessica and just told her we loved white/light… And glitter! 🙂 She did an amazing job at pulling it all together for us.The men wore succulents, which we have several of at home. Our procession song was Adele, Make You Feel My Love (I cry every time I hear it). Our venue was Auberge Du Soleil, one of my ‘Places I’d like to go’ on Pinterest… Which led us to looking into booking there. It was so special we couldn’t resist. Our sign that said ‘Thank you, Cupid’ was for our friend Amy that put us together. That’s a story in and of itself : Our recession song was Day Drinking by Little Big Town…. Did you see the trays of mimosas waiting for everyone? Auberge was super accommodating for what we needed. Not knowing how many would travel so far for the day, they helped us every step of the way. I can’t say enough about sweet Emily! Chris and I also have a true love for wine. That motivated the trip to Napa for my 40th bday. At night, people make fun of us because we always have BedWine. We had a Bloody Mary bar and chose brunch as our time frame because that’s so us! We love our weekends and brunch is our favorite meal! Bubbles on entrance and exit for our guests was also a must! Oysters… Another must! Our first dance song was Ed Sheeran, Thinking out loud (I know, over played but the words are so meaningful). Chris snuck on Pinterest and had my ring designed. His ring is big and beautiful (like him) – titanium outside, wood inside. Our advice to future couples: WAIT FOR THE RIGHT ONE!! Chris and I were both previously married and clearly, things didn’t work out. As we said in our vows, the path was not easy, but worth it. There is reason behind the term “don’t settle” and we found ours. Our friend, Tara that married us, always says… Find someone to be that accessory to your already fabulous life. we found each other and have never been happier. We are ourselves and just so in love. Things should never be so hard. Relax, enjoy life and have some wine. Never take one second for granted. xoxo
