THE WEDDING DAY
We were met with a DOWNPOUR on this Silverado Resort Wedding day. Luckily, Silverado has some nice interior locations for portraits. Silverado Resort has sweet little cabins spread across the property where couples can get ready and guests can stay nearby! The rain broke just as the bride arrived for the couple’s first look on the covered porch and then we took advantage of the break in the rain to get some cute couples portraits around Silverado. Though Emily & Griffin had to switch up their ceremony plans and do an indoor ceremony, the planning and design team were able to open the walls behind the bride and groom during your ceremony, which gave an epic indoor outdoor feel as the rain continued to pour. THE COUPLE
Griffin grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and attended Vista Mar for high school. He became friends with a girl there named Elliana Graham. After high school, Griffin went to Dartmouth College and Elliana (El) went to The University of Chicago to play soccer. That first day of pre-season, El met her new teammate, Emily Wiser. Both freshmen at UChicago, both center midfielders, the two clicked right away and became best friends. They lived with each other all four years of college. During their senior year, Emily got a job offer in San Francisco, and the girls decided they weren’t ready to live apart quite yet, so El got a job in San Francisco too. Unbeknownst to Emily and El, Griffin had been living in SF already for a year, working at Walmart. Griffin and El had remained friends on social media, and Griffin saw that his high school friend and her college roommate were moving to his city. He reached out to El and invited the girls to a party once they had moved. On July 12th, 2019, Em and El went to Griffin’s house for a party, and Emily and Griffin met. There was an instant chemistry and connection – the kind that is easy and familiar, but still ignites butterflies and a sense of wonder. Something happened that first night they met, and they have been together now for 6 years.
