“When someone loves you, the way they talk about you is different. You feel safe and comfortable.”

Most couples reserve their date in our calendars 12+ months prior to their wedding day.

Our wedding was classic with a modern twist: Contemporary, fancy, glamorous, and ornate. Our colors were red and gold because red is good luck in Chinese culture and is also Harish’s favorite color. Chinese double happiness and the Indian ganesh god were key features in out decor.

We went with more ornate designs that were reflected in the wedding program, the center spot light had a very ornate design with our names, and the venue itself has a lot of history.

We went to see San Simon a few months before since Hairsh was fascinated with Willam Randolph Hearst’s castle. We later realized after booking Julia Morgan Ballroom, that Julia Morgan was the chief architect for Hearst’s castle. And the ballroom too has a more woody-classic-traditional-feel with the intricate ceilings.

My wedding dress was modern beautiful and classic with sparkling floral overlay, sweetheart neckline.

Harish wore a dark satin blue shawl collar tuxedo. I chose this because I liked that it was a classic style but not as commonly worn these days. That is my general style.

My bouquet was classically white with a bit of flare, which were the black feathers. Significance was that I like modern things with a twist or a hint out of the ordinary. I like things to be unique, but still elegant/classy/modern.

The groom’s boutonnière was chosen because it was unique as well, but still looked classy.

Our ceremony was at Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. The space was decorated in a South Indian tradional way with a mandap and we played old Indian songs.

The center pieces at the reception were manzanita trees with flowers, glass candle holders and crystal bearings streaming down. We incorporated ornate tablecloths as well.

First dance song – ‘From This Moment On’ by Shania Twain and Bryan White.

We met online and got engaged in front of family and friends at Suzanna’s parents home on August 28, 2015.

His ring – the one ring to rule them all
Her ring – round diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds

We describe ourselves as funny, sarcastic, fun, loving, goofy, playful, and confident!
