For our engagement photos we wanted to explore somewhere in San Francisco that neither one of us had been to before.

We were excited to check out the antique arcade games at the Musee Mecanique, and when Jonathon suggested we wear themed outfits, we ran with the idea!

We had such a fun time exploring a new part of the city together and working with Jonathon to capture some really fun and unique photos.

We started with a few things we already owned: Noreen’s shoes, Shaun’s suit pants, and an antique fur stole that belonged to Noreen’s grandmother.

Shaun’s shirt was made by replacing the buttons on a cheap dress shirt, and Noreen’s hair clip was combination of a brooch and some craft store feathers.

The rest of our outfits were rounded out by items we found either online or at random jewelry and costume shops.

Maybe the funniest part of the day was how few people seemed surprised to see us walking down the street in our full-on 1920s outfits. I guess they figured it was just another typical day in Oddball SF!

The props were really fun to put together. The champagne bottle was a pinterest-inspired project that only slightly ended up tracking glitter all over our home.

Our “Save the Date” sign was made by painting glue and sprinkling glitter onto an Art-Deco style font. The picture frame itself was a lucky yard sale impulse purchase that finally paid off!

Our Save the Date sign was made by painting glue and sprinkling glitter onto a print-out of the date typed in a free Art-Deco style font. The picture frame itself was just a lucky yard sale impulse purchase that finally paid off!
