Kevin looked at this place and it happened to be available at the right time and when I visited it was perfect and beautiful.

Flowers were actually a recommendation from someone Kevin met at the venue. She has a very natural and organic theme with her…

We wanted something natural and organic that represented us.

We actually decided on getting married first.

Nature, birds, purple and silver. We’ve always been very nature oriented people going for hikes, looking for critters.

We first met in La Jolla, San Diego, in the summer of 2011. Our friendship blossomed into a romance that has survived and gained strength from one too many Southwest flights between San Diego and San Francisco.

Nature, birds, purple and silver. We’ve always been very nature oriented people going for hikes, looking for critters. We wanted something natural and organic that represented us. Danielle is a huge fan of birds and it was represented in the ring, the decorations on the table on the cages, and the branch and organic theme. Colors just kind of came together as purple and silver. Not really sure how, but it matched Kevin’s suit.

The look was just agreed upon and we were okay with it. Dani found her dress as the first one she tried on. I found my suit after being disgruntled and trying a few on, only to see one in the display as I walked out. She convinced me to go try it on and it looked great. Our wedding parties we wanted to be comfortable. We didn’t want to make our groomsmen and bridesmaids spent crazy amount of money, and go through a whole hassle. We wanted them to look smart and comfortable so we just picked a theme. My groomsmen Will bought everyone matching ties and pocket squares.

Our ceremony was up at the Muir Woods Community Park. We were originally going to elope in Hawaii but thought Kevin’s parents would kill him. Then City Hall, but it only allowed 6 people. Then Kevin looked at this place and it happened to be available at the right time and when I visited it was perfect and beautiful. The rings were designed and crafted by local artisans at Love and Luxe. It had a bird and a pretty orange sapphire on it which is why Kevin chose it. I got al the rings at that location.

We actually decided on getting married first. Then Kevin proposed at the location of the wedding after we decided on the place.Space was decorated all ourselves. Kevin’s sister played the violin for the processional. I don’t even know if there was a recessional song 🙂

Reception was in the same place. We wanted it to be in the same place and it worked out beautifully. The centerpieces and decorations were all designed by Danielle. Signature cocktails was Pimms and Old Fashioneds. Our first dance song was Bob Marley – I Wanna Love You , when we danced to it at a concert and thought this would be perfect. Lots of dancing, ladder ball and corn hole outside. Cake was suggested by a friend’s place. Invitations were casual.

Elements? like wind water fire? I think it’s all of the above at different times. Sometimes we’re fiery, sometimes we’re flexible, sometimes we got to be tough. Learn how to grow, adapt, and accept. Also LDRs are rough 😉
