We did not choose our wedding date. Our wedding date chose us!

When Sizhe went shopping for a wedding dress for the first time, she put down September 20, 2014 as the wedding date.

Little did she know, it was a Saturday, an auspicious date, and more importantly, a date that was still available at the Conservatory of Flowers!

Like our relationship, the Conservatory was a melding of contrasting elements that combined to form a beautiful outcome.

It was a location that blended the expected, a plethora of lovely flowers with the unexpected, eerie carnivorous plants.

It was a site that provided us the warmth of a greenhouse with the fresh and crisp air of Golden Gate Park.

Our wedding brought together our family and friends. A day that was surprisingly organized with pleasant surprises –made possible with the helping hands of so many people.

The entire day was seamless.

As we look to the future, we hope it will be forever surrounded by family and friends with a few pleasant surprises along the way.

On our wedding date, the flower beds in front of the Conservatory were being replanted, the sun decided to take a nap, and pedestrians tried to photo bomb our pictures. However, despite these little hiccups, the Conservatory of Flowers was still our ideal wedding location: a serene haven in a bustling city.
Like our relationship, the Conservatory was a melding of contrasting elements that combined to form a beautiful outcome.
