The moment we first entered the grounds of the Brookside Equestrian Center in Walnut, CA we knew we had found “the” special place.

[x_gap size=”4em”]

Walking the grounds we could practically hear Old Time musicians fiddling in the shade while our guests sipped on Stumptown Cold Brew.

We could envision a dressage horse performing in the ring and children playing on the swing set.

It was truly a blessing that all of these things we imagined became a reality on our wedding day!

All in all, it was the perfect occasion to begin our life together…magically ever after!

Although Dave and I made quite a good team, we couldn’t have pulled it off alone.

Our friends and family graciously pitched in by helping us with our many DIY projects.  They also baked macarons, booked us a band, styled our hair, and shot our wedding (*high five* Apollo Fotografie!).

We had the greatest supporting cast and crew anyone could ever ask for.

[x_gap size=”4em”]

We could imagine some of our favorite magicians performing miracles, and our guests dancing under the stars.

Jonathon’s professionalism, talent, and artistic eye were all genuinely appreciated. I loved that the photos do not look staged, fake or cliché… they capture the beauty of our location and the exhilaration and romance of our big day.

Love, peace and narwhals forever…

READ THE LETTER FROM THE BRIDE

—————————————————————-

When Dave and I were hunting for a location to celebrate the most important day of our lives and host the party of our dreams, it became clear that we were searching for a place where our friends and families would be inspired to explore, play, be entertained, and BE the entertainment. The moment we first entered the grounds of the Brookside Equestrian Center in Walnut, CA we knew we had found “the” special place.  Walking the grounds we could practically hear Old Time musicians fiddling in the shade while our guests sipped on Stumptown Cold Brew.  We could envision a dressage horse performing in the ring and children playing on the swing set.  We could imagine some of our favorite magicians performing miracles, and our guests dancing under the stars. It was truly a blessing that all of these things we imagined became a reality on our wedding day!“All in all, it was the perfect occasion to begin our life together…magically ever after!” Creating and designing our Big Day together was both a challenge and a great deal of fun.  We easily agreed that persimmon would be our color theme since it’s our favorite fruit and favorite color.  Aesthetically we are both drawn to handsome vintage objects as well as simple and modern designs…and the setting of Brookside allowed us to naturally run in both directions at once.Although Dave and I made quite a good team, we couldn’t have pulled it off alone.  We had the greatest supporting cast and crew anyone could ever ask for.  Our friends and family graciously pitched in by helping us with our many DIY projects.  They also baked macarons, booked us a band, styled our hair, and shot our wedding (*high five* Apollo Fotografie!). As far as our attire goes…Dave had his vision executed by a suit tailor he admires, while I entrusted a friend to design a dramatic and formal gown that later transformed into a party dress.  Both of us were delighted with their creations.  And, I can’t say say enough about how wonderful our vendors were (see credits below).  They were easy to work with and they did a splendid job making our wedding picture perfect  🙂 Love, peace and narwhals forever, Colie (the bride)
